Intergalactic Skeletor

I present my variant of Intergalactic Skeletor: Scissor Claw Skeletor!

Geldor

Geldor was the villain in a Mini-Comic in the '80s. It is great to see these minor characters getting there day in the sun.

King Grayskull

King Grayskull, ancestor to He-Man! This is a great figure in and of itself, it is also the first time that this character has been immortalised in plastic. The partially transparent power sword also really pops.

Demo Man

Demo Man was merged with Keldor to become Skeletor. He has a striking and individual look.

Alcala Head Skeletor

Demo Man came with a new head for Skeletor based on the early Minicomic art. It looks awesome.

Battleground Teela

Teela as she appeared in th early DC comics!

Battleground Evil-Lyn

Battleground Evil-Lyn from MOTU Classics. The new head looks awesome.

Keldor

Keldor has a delightfully villainous grin.

Skeletor as Mo-lar's Patient

In the Robot Chicken sketch Skeletor has an impacted wisdom tooth but Mo-Lar removes one of his front teeth. This figure captures that look and comes with Havoc Staff, Power Sword and Half Power Sword.

Mo-Lar

Its Mo-Lar the Eternian Dentist. Sure he was originally a joke from Robot Chicken but I intend to treat him as a regular character in my MOTU display. MOTU is just weird enough for this to work.

He-Ro

He-Ro was a character that was intended for production the year after the original MOTU toyline was cancelled. I found out about him when I picked up the Powers of Grayskull mini-comic some years later.

The Goddess

The Goddess is my first MOTU Classics Figure. I initially has no interest in collecting this line due to high cost and difficulty obtaining them from Matty Collector. I obtained her off ebay which I was much more comfortable with. The figure itself is nice. Very tall compared to the vintage and modern lines. My figure suffers from the "bobblehead" problem that I have seen discussed on various websites.

The origin of this figure is the very first Minicomic where He-Man saves her from a monster and is rewarded with his harness, sword and shield (Also included with this figure). To my knowledge this is her only appearance with green skin.

The Classics armour is actually compatible with the vintage figures. The axe handle is a little thicker than the vintage item but the hand is flexible enough to grip it. I had to use a paper clip to convince the shield to stay on however.

Modern Man at Arms

Man at Arms got a nice upgrade in the modern MOTU line. The classic Armour gets a makover and the new mace looks great. This version also adds a gun the goes over his right hand (not pictured).

Modern Skeletor

Again this is a pretty solid update of the original. Lots of nice details and the Havoc Staff looks really good.

Modern He-Man

The 2002 series of Masters of the Universe figures took ages to come out in Australia. I picked this guy up from the shops in 2004. Many of the figures didn't seem to get a release over here at all as we went from the first wave straight into the Snake Men. The updating He-Man is pretty good. He does look a bit elfish to me rather than the huge Muscle Man that I expect.

Modern King Hiss

In the 2000s the Masters of the Universe line was relaunched and once again the Snake Men made an appearance just before the line came to an end. The updated King Hiss is very cool. It copies many of the elements from the original figure and adds some nice touches. I actually prefer this version of the head. Like the original figure he opens up to show the massed snakes within. This time you don't have to pry off the armour and the main snake has a sping loaded gimmick.

King Hiss

King Hiss, leader of the Snake Men. The Snake Men were a new faction introduced towards the end of the original Masters of the Universe Line. The human upper body splits into two and the arms pieces may be removed to show his true form. It's pretty darn great.

Man at Arms

Original Man at Arms. Another classic design with great armour and a cool mace. In the Filmation cartoon and subsequent media he has been depicted with a moustache but I prefer this clean shaven look.
